Movie 'D-Day' screened at New York

Nikhil Advani's thriller D-Day set in India and Pakistan had a special screening in New York recently. The film stars some of the finest actors Rishi Kapoor, Irrfan Khan, Huma Qureshi, Arjun Rampal and Shruti Hassan. Shruti wooed Sandalwood fans by crooning the Nenapidhu Nenapidhu number for Puneet Rajkumar starrer Prithvi in 2010.

D-Day's director Nikhil arranged a special screening of his directorial venture D-Day in New York for the Kapoor and the Bachchan families. The two families are related through Rishi Kapoor's sister Ritu Nanda, who also happens to be Jaya and Amitabh Bachchan's daughter Shweta's mother-in-law. Ritu Nanda is being treated for an illness in New York. This is the reason Jaya Bacchan, Abhishek Bachchan and Neetu Singh are in New York attending to the ailing Ritu in New York.

Rishi Kapoor, who is playing a gangster in D-Day, said, "It was very nice of Nikhil. He feels I've excelled in his film. My wife Neetu is currently in New York. Nikhil feels there is no way she should miss the film. So he very sweetly offered to hold a private screening for Neetu, Jaya and Abhishek, who are all in New York."
