India beat Zimbabwe by six wickets

Riding on skipper Virat Kohli's century, India defeated Zimbabwe by six wickets in the first One Day International (ODI) at Harare Sports Club here on Wednesday.


Chasing, Zimbabwe's 228 for seven, India reached 230 by losing four wickets in 44.5 overs.

Kohli top scored with his 115 runs. He hammered 13 boundaries and a six in his 108-ball 115.

Ambati Rayudu gave him good support with his 63 as they added 159 runs in the third wicket partnership.

Prosper Utseya picked up two wickets for Zimbabwe.

Earlier, Zimbabwe scored 228 runs for the loss of seven wickets in 50 overs.

Sikandar Raza remained the top scorer for Zimbabwe with his 82 runs. He hit six boundaries and two sixes in his knock.

Indian leg-spinner Amit Mishra took three wickets by giving away 43 runs in his 10 overs.
